Saturday 31st March - After Asr Prayer - 6:30pm We are privileged to host, as part of our monthly programme, Shaykh Suleyman Van Ael. Shaykh Sulayman converted to Islam when he was 18. He then head out for Sudan to memorize the Quran. He studied in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Morocco, Belgium and Holland with more 50 different mashayikh. He was a professor at the Rotterdam University, Erasmus High school and was appointed as the head of Teachers by the Muslim Executive. He has his Bachelor in theology, Master (theory) in mental health, and is a counselor at London school of Economics, Imperial University and SOAS University. He is working on a video-library with more than 100 different topics and he wrote about 400 books which are being translated into English for the moment. If we discovered a simple remedy that improved our health, more often than not, we would seek to share that remedy with all of those around us. Why do we not think the same about calling those around us to Islam? Many of us struggle with our own practice of the faith, which renders us unable to even consider calling others. Or we may feel inadequately equipped within our own knowledge of Islam, which would falter our attempts of inviting. We often forget that God commands us to "Invite to the way of your Lord, with wisdom and good teaching." Inviting others (Da'wah) to Islam is a primary function of a Muslim, however there are some requisites before we embark on that command. This invitation, in order for it to be effective and appealing, must be delivered with sincerity and wisdom. This talk aims to highlight such points of considerations and offer ways in which we can successfully fulfill this command of our Lord. Come, be inspired and a make a change to your lives. Brothers & Sisters welcome - bring the whole family!! FREE EVENT with registration below.
