About
This unique five day introduction to the Sacred Arts of Islam provides a balanced and wholesome opportunity to learn, embrace and love artforms that are often dismissed, neglected and even forgotten within Islam.
It is through such arts that the love of Islam is enbibed and provides students with opportunities to develop different physical, mental and spiritual faculties.

With credible and experienced teachers along with a carefully crafted curriculum of study, students will be gently led through the basics of each discipline, given opportunity to produce, practice and work towards tangible goals by the end of the programme.

The programme will assume no prior experience or knowledge but will equally cater for those who do.

With a limit on numbers per age group to ensure quality instruction and classroom management, we encourage you to register without delay.

 About Our Teachers

Shaykh Muhammad Husain Kazi (Arabic Teacher)
After completing his secondary education, Muhammad Husain Kazi began his studies in 2002 at the renowned UK Islamic Seminary, Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya in Manchester, where he completed the memorisation of the Qur'an and achieved first class honours in the Alimiyyah studies six year programme.
In 2012, he then travelled to Amman, Jordan to further his knowledge of the Arabic language over a two year period, studying in-depth grammar, rhetoric, Quranic Exegesis, Arabic prosody, classical Arabic literature and Islamic Jurisprudence. Alongside private studies, e also studied at the Qasid Arabic Institute in Jordan where he successfully completed the Level 5 Classical Arabic programme
He has received several teaching licenses in the Islamic sciences and recitation of the Quran from internationally renowned scholars.
Returning to the UK in 2014, he enrolled onto the Contextual Islamic Studies & Leadership Diploma programme at the highly recognised Cambridge Muslim College, where he received the Top Student Award.
This led him to complete his MA in Islamic Studies at SOAS University of London in 2017 and most recently, a Master of Studies (MSt) in Islamic Studies and History at the University of Oxford.
He has served as an Imam both in the UK and Japan and has taught, and continues to teach, Arabic and Quranic studies at various institutions, schools and universities.

He currently serves as the Outreach Imam and Liaison Officer for ASCC resides in London with his wife and daughter.

Ustadha Aiysha Amin (Geometry Teacher)
Aiysha graduated from The Princes School of Traditional Arts in 2013. She received training in many different forms of traditional disciplines, and the language that connects them all, such as sacred geometry, islimi or arabesque designs etc. After graduating she set out to travel for a year to several countries as a personal spiritual pilgrimage in order to connect with different intentional Sufi communities. It was during this time that she travelled to Saudi Arabia with her spiritual guide.
The journey opened up many vistas of understanding and more importantly brought to the surface pertinent questions pertaining to faith, spirituality, ritualistic practice and in general how we view and our relationship with the Sacred.

Aiysha’s recent collection which she has been working on for a number of years deals with these themes and ideas; in an age in which the 'sense' of the Sacred is being lost, and only a few fragmented traces of origins of Sacred history and sites remain.

Alongside this deeply personal project Aiysha works for the Greensville Trust (Liverpool, England) where she has been curating an exhibition called The Prophetic Relics for the last five years. She currently lives in Morocco where is furthering her knowledge on the traditional crafts and geometry.

Ustadh Umar Raja (Archery Instructor)

An avid martial artist with a passionate and deep interest in Islamic military history, Umar has several years experience in the sacred art of archery.
Umar also has extensive experience teaching and coaching young children and teenagers. He is an experienced archer, with a preference in traditional bows and training methods and holds an Archery GB Instructor Award.

Ustadh Abdullah Mufa (Daff Instructor)

Abdullah is a professional drummer, percussionist and ney blower. Has performed at Glastonbury Festival with Naqshbandi whirling dervishes(2003 and 2005). Recorded session on Bombay Dub Orchestra album 3 Cities and appeared on main stage at Big Chill Festival(2008). Recorded drum(song: Di Tanah Kita) for Malaysian band Salamusik (2011). Performed with Bamboo Pearl Orchestra at the Olympiad BT River of Music Festival(2012). Appeared at Womad with Cambodian Space Project(2015). Recently been collaborating with storyteller Jumana Moon, Ahmad Ikhlas and Pearls of Islam. Hosts monthly devotional music night titled Breath and Heartbeat at Rumis Cave London.

Ustadh Noamaan Qadri (Nasheed Instructor)

A dedicated and passionate student of knowledge, Noamaan possesses a unique and beautiful voice which he uses regularly when he is called upon to initiate and lead gatherings of remembrance.
Since childhood, Noamaan has been engaged and raptured by the traditional of Inshad (singing in praise of Allah and His Messenger) and through travelling the Muslim lands, has gained much experience and exposure to the various styles and melodies used in the singing of Islamic Nasheeds.
A father of three, with experience teaching children and teenagers alike, Noamaan is a gem in the community given to serving and helping the next generation.
