![]() End of Month Programme: Seeking Sacred Knowledge With Shaykh Dr. Ridhwan Saleem (WLSIS, LNS) Saturday 26th October After Isha Jamma'ah (8pm) Brothers & Sisters welcome (segregation panel) Why is the seeking of knowledge encouraged in Islam? How should we seek knowledge? What is meant by sacred knowledge? How has the seeking of knowledge been described in the Quran and sunnah? Join us for an inspiring and informative talk by our esteemed scholar. All ages are welcome to benefit from this lecture - in particular the youth. This is the first in a series of End of Month Programmes for the community. Shaykh Ridhwan graduated in Medicine at King's College London and went on to pursue Islamic knowledge full-time and studies with 'Allamah Shaykh Siraj al-Islam Chawdry (may Allah protect him) in Hanafi Fiqh and Tafsir of Quran. Spending several years in Damascus, Shaykh Ridhwan was supervised by and received ijaazas from a number of notables such as Sayyid Shaykh Muhammad al-Ya'qoubi al-Hassani. Shaykh Ridwan is a local medical practitioner, currently specialising and working in the field of forensic psychiatry. He is the founder and Honorary Principal of the West London School of Islamic Studies and Lady Nafisa Independent School for Girls.
