Shaykh Burhaan Khandia Shaykh Burhaan Khandia has studied for a year with the ulama of India (Ajmer Sharif) where he began his memorization of the Qur'an. He is the son of Qari Ismaeel Khandia whom is one of the leading teachers of Qur'an in the city of Derby. Qari Ismaeel is renowned for his service of the deen and the service of the community. He was charged with Shaykh Burhaan Khandia's education in religious affairs including fiqh, aqidah, tafsir and hadith from an early age by virtue of his being his father. Shaykh Burhaan returned to England in 2002 and to visit his family. He soon travelled to Yemen where he studied for three years under the theological scholars and spiritual masters of Hadramaut including Habib Omar Bin Hafiz. Ustadh Novid Shaid Novid Shaid is an English teacher and pastoral manager from the UK. He has worked for fourteen years in state secondary schools and he shares short stories and poetry on his website: www.novid.co.uk. His first published work is the supernatural thriller novel, "The Hidden Ones". Novid has worked as an A-Level English Literature examiner and has also given advice and consultancy to Muslim schools in London. For his BA in English Literature, he majored in Early Twentieth Century British Fiction and Nineteenth Century American Literature. For his PGCERT in English Studies he focussed on critical approaches to William Blake and a comparative study of Seamus Heaney and Eavan Boland.
