The Met will soon be recruiting more new police constables. To tackle today’s complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up of people from across London’s communities. As a result, we must continue to recruit the right people from every background and use all their skills and knowledge to make London safer for everybody.
To become a police constable, you now need to have completed the CKP – Certificate in Knowledge of Policing (unless you have already attained your Police Law and Community Certificate (PLC)* in the last two years). CKP students learn about the law, policing, and the critical decision-making skills that are required in the job.
The Met will be recruiting very soon, so now’s the time to get in touch. Call 03300 227 899, quoting ‘Engagement Event’ to take the first step and visit www.metpolicecareers.co.uk/ckp for more information about the CKP and becoming a police constable.
Get professional. Get policing.
